S03E225 Video Review - The Changeling

FX artist Ralph Miller III, who worked on DOLLS with John Carl Buechler's crew from MMI, joins the 80s Grue Crew to take a look at this oft-overlooked Stuart Gordon film. Effects galore and an underappreciated cast make DOLLS creepy fun to talk about.

Blade, Jester, Pinhead, Tunneler, Leech Woman, et al. vie for airtime in Charles Band's PUPPET MASTER (1989), the first in an instant franchise spawning 14 sequels, crossovers, and counting. The Grue Crew has fun with this niche genre talkabout. Enjoy it!

S04E267 Video Review - DEATH SHIP

Based on Peter Straub’s outstanding novel, GHOST STORY’s cast and crew sports eight Oscar winners plus several nominees, and yet, the Grue-Crew are divided on their appreciation. Even so, it’s a remarkable film, and the crew has much to talk about. We hope you enjoy!

S04E269 Video Review - GHOST STORY

Season 4

The 80s Grue-Crew head back to sequel land for this episode. The Crew love the cast and the practical effects, but found the story lacking with reasons. And then there was that 30-min Cox-Hopkins-Lecter debate. What a fun episode! Enjoy our talkabout!

S05E296 Video Review - POLTERGEIST II: THE OTHER SIDE

Season 5

This film, from accomplished director Richard Fleisher, stars Tony Roberts, Tess Harper, Candy Clark, & Robert Joy along w/early roles for Meg Ryan & Lori Loughlin. Part of the early '80s 3-D craze, the film is much better then you'd expect. Enjoy our talkabout!
